It's almost like they've got some leadership void. I've never seen anything like it. Yzerman goes and Shanahan goes, just two guys, but its like two different teams before and after! It's like everybody's looking at everybody else to do something or step it up. The team chemistry's all weird. Before there were too many high-skilled floaters on the forward lines but it didn't stand out so much that they were floaters. Now it does.

I think it's happening quickly, as opposed to slowly. I am a huge Red Wing fan and I am just sick with this season so far. They need to get Manny Legace back. He is such a awesome goalie. Hasek is just past his prime. Should have stayed retired!! We need McCarty, Shanahan and some of the other power players back.

It's still early in the season. They are off to a slow start . They have a lot of adjustments to make. They will be fine. They still have a lot of great players. They have the best defenceman in the league-Lidstrom. Pavel and Henric will be good. Give them time to warm up. If they would just get rid of Hasek!!

The salary cap has killed off the "powerhouse" teams of the last decade, teams must be smarter with contracts and resignings to be good now, not just loose with their checkbooks.

Not if they have Lidstrom on their team. Before when they were in truble, they had Stevie Y to cover for them. Now they have to adjust to not having Yzerman score timely goals for them.

They are definitely dying off.. The power has disappeared. Stevie-Y gone... Shannahan gone... i could go on and on... So long to Detroit for now folks. THey will be back in about 3 years.

I think we need to get rid of Babcock. And losing Stevie and Shannahan doesn't help either. This year might suck, but I think we can get it together.

They're in re-building mode...It may be a couple of years before they re-gain their form. They still have a good team....
