It depends how big a gap and how old the two people are, one that is too big just seems weird. If a 70 year old and an 85 year old have a relationship it seems fine, but if an 18 year old and a 33 year old have a relationship it seems wrong, despite the age gap being the same.

I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

I think when you are young ie at school, a big age gap can cause major problems, but as you get older - the age gap doesnt seem that important - you shouldn't worry about what others think - life too short!

I don't think you should have a gap more than 10years.When I am in a serious relationship I look forward to it being forever w/marriage.I also believe you must keep the sparks burning. If you have too much of a age gap one of you are going to get cheated.

I love it!! My boyfriend is 10 years older than me and we've been together for 5 years. I like the age gap because he is more mature than guys around my age and knows what he wants in life.

Depends on the age gap, you don't want some that when you are still able & wanting to go out and fun you can't because you have to take care of someone who can't get around any longer or worse they are ready for nursing home and you are still young.

It depends completely on the parties to the relationship. And what the relationship is. Age is not just a number, but it describes some commonly held attributes, which may or may not be true for the indivdual.

it really depends on the age of the youngest in the relationship. i dont like to see someone who is being taken advantage of. i also think its a bit of shame if they are still very young because the older person needs to let the younger one have 'young' fun with peers. i remember a friend of mine at her 21st. her partner was about 15 or 20 years older and he had absolutely nothing in common with any of her friends, and it was really awkward. (the relationship didnt last. they really did love each other, but after a few years she felt like she was missing out on lots of fun while he was more happy to stay at home or go out with his older friends who she didnt have much in common with).
saying all that, i think in a couple where the youngest person is around 25 or older then its fine.

It's how you feel about the person not the age gap.

It depends on your ages now. I mean, if your 15 and he's 30...that would be wrong, but if you're older already then it really doesn't matter as long as your interests are similiar. There's 10 years difference between my husband and I and we're great together.
