I married a man of mexican nationality. We do not have any children and he was deported back to mexico. I have spoken to him only one time and do not know how to get ahold of him. When we spoke he told me of his real name and wanted me to move to mexico. Have not heard nor do I want to. What should I do time is not a factor I need the cheapest way to go.

Try your local legal aid. You might be able to get the marriage voided, on the basis of fraud, if he lied to get you to marry him, and it wasn't a long term marriage. Otherwise, you could get the paperwork from your county clerk's office, and file the papers yourself.

Um...seems to me you should be prepared to pay for this mistake. Were you aware of his intentions to move back to Mexico when you married him? Was this a "rushed" marriage? Call a lawyer, set up an appointment and hopefully they will have some sort of payment plan for you to use. You've made this bed for yourself, it won't hurt to sleep in it. Hopefully you will learn from this and next time you find "the one" to tie the knot with, you'll think more about long-term goals and consequences. HTH.

Try checking out your Family Court in your state. They will probably give you information for free on how to get a non contested divorce. You did not mention how long you were married. Since you were married under false pretenses, you may want to look into an annulment.

There is a process for absentee spouses... check with a lawyer, but a friend of mine went through it...

it requires advertising and legal fees and time.. should be complete in about 6 months.

You can file the papers yourself - you have to make "attempts" to contact the person at the last known address (via registered letters, etc.) and if you can't reach them by any means they will grant the divorce without that person even actually being notified.

call a local legal assistance agency...usually every somewhat big city has a free legal service in their city....look it up in the yellow pages....they are usually non profit organizations....if you can't find it..ask your local court house or town hall...good luck
