There are many left handed musicians who played guitar right handed...

To name some:
Paul Simon - Plays guitar right-handed, writes left-handed
Isaac Hayes - Left-handed, but played guitar right-handed
Gary Moore - Left-handed, but plays guitar right-handed
Bob Dylan - Left-handed, but plays guitar right-handed
David Bowie - Left-handed, but plays guitar right handed
Mark Knopfler - Writes left-handed, plays guitar right-handed

Take a look at Wikipedia...

Very interesting to read about left handed people...

I'm right-handed myself, so that hand is dominant for me when it comes to writing & most other things.
But there are a few cases where "left" works better.
There are Major League baseball players who throw left & bat right, or vice-versa.
Whether right or left-handed, you should play the guitar whichever way works best for you. Don't worry about being backwards.
If I'm not mistaken, Jimi Hendrix was left-handed, but played a right-handed guitar. It worked for him.

Paul McCartney of Beatles & more recently newspaper scandle devorce fame was pretty much right handed, but plays with a left-hand bass/guitar.
An ex-band mate of mine from school was left handed, but plays guitar to an excellent level with a regular right handed guitar, and can't play a left-handed one at all.

'fraid it's a "whatever works for you" answer...

sounds like you are ambidextrous. I am too. There are some things that I prefer to do right handed and some that I feel more comfortable doing left handed, but I am predominately left handed
do whatever is more comfortable for you

Like said before, ambidextrous. I write right handed but play bass left.

That's the same with me, except the other way around. I write with my right but I use a fork with my right and knife with left, it's much easier for me. You're probably left, it would've been easier for you to be both if you praticed when you were younger. Does subject go in music?
