Just play the guitar like Jimi Hendrix did.

He just played a right hand guitar and flipped it over and played it left handed.

Mixed laterality, or mixed dominance, is very common especially in left-handers. A large proportion of the population will use their "other" hand for one or more tasks, depending on what their brain feels comfortable with for the task. This is especially true for 2-handed tasks like the guitar and golf as examples. If you can, try both types of guitars for a few hours each before you decide to buy. A good guitar instructor can also point out quickly which way is best for you.

You are probably ambedextrious, like my cousin. A good way to test it is to draw something practical, like a flower, with both your right and left hand. If both pictures look almost exactly alike, then you're ambedextrious.

I'd try both before you buy. It sounds like you are ambidextrous (both left and right-handed).
