Barack Obama is one of the two senators from my state (Illinois). Not much is known of him, but he seems to be charming, intelligent and more or less untarnished by political experience. He would be a better choice for president than most of the the people of his political party that have been mentioned as intended candidates for the presidency. His chances for winning the nomination depend on the others who intend to run. So far, he would be my choice.

I only know of him from the last Dem convention. What a powerful speaker! A good speech and good content. I think he'll go a very long way in politics but he's still too young right now for President & also not enough experience.
I wouldn't vote for him. I don't think the american people are ready for black muslim leadership either.'

I think he is a very intelligent man that I hate to see tore apart by the repuglican hate machine. He is young and maybe should wait until he is older to run for president but I am sure that he is capable of doing the job. All it is with me is with age comes wisdom, I would like to see him as Vice President in 08 on a ticket with a very good democratic candidate. Whoever gets the job will have his work cut out for him after all the mess that George Bush has made.

Why did the American people pay for a trip to his homeland??? What did that trip have to do with the betterment of American???
In other words, he isn't any better than Clinton and both should be run out of office.

He is probably as liberal as Hillary but a better speaker than her. No, I would not vote for him even if he ran against John McCain.

I watched him on Meet the Depressed today. He's his own man now but you have to sell out to your party to be prez in either party. His approach to bipartisanship is refreshing isn't it.
