how do i build a catapult and what do i need to increase range while also decreasing time?

Just build a simple balance.
To increase your range, use a heavy counterweight (lead peltets are probally your best opition)
Also you can try to increase your throwing arm lenght to increase the amount of torque it has.

do a search on Trebuchet I think I spelled it right. It is a catapult that uses a counter weight.
