Although pitches vary, it is generally regarded that the WACA is Perth is the fastest and deadliest pitch in the world.

The test arenas in Australia are Adelaide Oval, Bellerie Oval, Bundaberg Rum Stadium, Exhibition Ground, Marrara Cricket Ground, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Sydney Cricket Ground, W.A.C.A. Ground, Woolloongabba (The Gabba). A special mention must be made of the WACA ground also known as Perth. Perth is the bounciest and the fastest pitch anywhere in cricket. Top teams and top batsmen struggle to come to terms with the bounce and pace at Perth. A lightning quick pitch at Perth is something that batsmen dread when they come to Australia. Mention Perth to any cricket lover and he will tell you that the images that come to mind are of batsmen getting hit on the body and on the head. Pacemen rule the roost here. Period.

The WACA is dead. I saw the Vic v WA game on the weekend. Completely dead. Warne was bowling slow bouncers at the end of day one, when WA were 300 for 2 or 3.

I think the Gabba has the fastest pitch in Aus, Kingsmead in RSA and the Oval in England.

If they ever want to be a legitimate top all round side then yes of course they need to prepare home wickets similar to those that they will face elsewhere in the world. Look at the last pitch in Perth, traditionally a quicks bouncy patch, now Adelaide a batsmen's haven then a bit of spin. Our pitches vary whereas India's are a metronome of the same old same old to suit their spinners and batsmen. If you wanted to be taken seriously and not be laughed at for myopic views and performance then chnage your ways!

Sorry but it could be any or all Test Pitches. It's all down to how the Groundsman has set up the pitch. It's a real art tending a Test pitch, and the Groundsman will set the pitch to favour the Home side.

The fastest, and bounciest pitch in the world is Perth.!and that's where Tendulkar made his first 100 (InTests),and that's why he's so special !!!!ask Merve gues,he said in an interview that's the best 100 he's seen ever,Tendulkar was Batting with the Tail- enders, and still knew how he could get 2's,and1's to get himself on strike, and put the bad balls away for boundaries(that's when Tendulkar used to bat at 6th down.)IT"S ALL CLASS.!!!!
