Not as bad as you would think. Things that you use to do, you do less often and with a lot more work to do so, but otherwise, once the pain is gone, and you get use to seeing the bathroom more, life is fine, in fact probably better since sex moves to the back burner more.

The 2 major worst case problems are incontinence and impotence. Mostly depends on the skill of the surgeon.
