I am a pretty clean person. And neither me or my husband sweat a lot at night but even once I have washed our bedding, it dosn't smell fresh. It still has that 'sweat' smell. I use Tide & I always use a fabric softener. What else can I put in the laundry?? What will break down that odor?

OK, you have to trust me on this. My husband sweats really bad and nothing I used worked. I also had the problem with smelly (mildewy) towels. I bought "special" bleach safe towels which gave the instructions to use 1 oz of bleach (added to the water or in the bleach reservoir before adding towels. On a whim I added all my towels to the load and discovered all towels are "bleach safe" if you only use 1 oz of bleach and it did the trick, no more mildewy towels. Again, on a whim because I was so sick of stinky sheets, I tried the same thing on my sheets. Viola, no more stinkiy sheets and no effect on the color. I have black sheets and they stay black even with the bleach. You need to be careful about rinsing the reservoir and/or filling the tub all the way before adding sheets so as not to get any full strength bleach on the sheets but it kills all the germs and bacteria without leaving a noticeable "bleachy" smell. I don't use fabric softener and I use a free and clear laundry detergent so if you get an odd smell I would look at the detergent or fabric softener you are using, maybe it isn't reacting well with the bleach. I swear to you, I am thrilled to finally beat the smell, I love my husband but yuck. Good luck.

Try one of the detergents aimed at getting out smells. I think AIM or GAIN have one that will do that and they also leave a great smell on your laundry. Also, try using hot water and putting some baking soda in the water. Maybe trying spraying them with fabreze before washing them might help. And, you might want to try spraying the mattress with Fabreze while the sheets are washing just incase the smell is coming from the mattress. Good luck!

I suffered from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Tried everything my doctor told me. My hyperhidrosis was so bad at times that I wouldn't go near crowded places, let alone sit in restaurants or go to the cinema or theater.
Until I found the information on this site: http://stop-sweating-now.keysolve.net

It helped me in ways that I still cannot comprehend; this is truly remarkable. It's been 7 days since I completed the basic Sweat Miracle program and my hyperhidrosis is gone without a trace.

I agree with putting baking soda in the wash. But also air out your mattress fairly frequently, if possible, put outside for 2 or 3 hours every 3 or 4 months. And spray it with febreze every time you change sheets. This should help also. Good luck!!

Hot water & bleach if it's really bad. Wash your mattress bad too. If you don't have a mattress pad and the odor still persists, maybe it's your mattress. What about a different detergent?
Do you have a water softener? Is so, and you haven't cleaned your water softener lately it will produce stinky water.

Try to put half the amount of clothes in the machine, and use a liquid detergent. Throw in two sheets of Bounce - just to see - and for the sheets, anyway, use a hot water wash. If all that doesn't work, maybe it's time for some new sheets;-)

Try putting some baking soda in your wash along with Tide and fabric softner. Bleach oughta do it took, however, it's hard on your fabrics if used too often.
