We have a large space under our bed - large enough for two 10 " high storage containers for spare sheets and blankets. I bought a plastic container. But when I store linens in them they stink like plastic when I take them out, and I have to re-wash them. I tried putting an odor-absorber in them, but it didn't seem to help much. I could buy a canvas box in hopes that it won't smell, but I can't find any.

Any other suggestions/ideas?

Anything stored for a few months anywhere is going to smell a bit when you take it out. Plastic of course makes things disagreeably smelly. Why don't you line the plastic bags with thick brown paper, put dried laender sachets around, then fold the linen in soft paper? Or there are Rubbermaid bins, all kinds of smaller organizing bins from Ikea, etc, perspex, anywhere, really. You could even carefully line a box with paper as long as it has a lid.

Wal mart has them. Have you tried putting fabric softer sheets in your plastic containers ?

Those canvas ones are great, no problems here! We got ours from overstock.com I believe. Or domestications.com

Sorry, my husband is watching football and not paying attention. Hee.
