Fashionable, doesn't mean pricey, or have to be,,, you can dress in fashion, by shopping around, doesn't have to be expensive.

I look at websites for stores where I like their style of clothing, Banana Republic for example. I go to their sites, "shop" by outfits I like and then try to find less expensive versions of the shape or sillouette I like. BR has low cut, boot cut trousers for work, but they are wool, lined, dry clean only and $98. So I check out Gap, they have some, very similar for $54. Then Ill look at Old Navy...they have some similar to those for only $29...I could even take it one step further down the chain and check out Target (Merona, Isaac Mizrahi) or Wal Mart (Metro 7, No Boundries) and find something similar in the $20-$30 range.
You can also find the things you like on ebay and pay much less than retail, but then add shipping.
Thrift stores also have lots of things to choose from, it really depends on your style.
Lucky magazine really has good ideas and info about pricy and not so pricy things.

If you go to Abercrombie and Fitch at the right time (changing of seasons/ a few weeks after big holidays) then you can score some great deals. I got jean cut offs for 12.90, shorts around the same price and once I got two skirts for 4.90 and another one for 3.90. It's all in the timing!

being fashionable isn't really defined by what you have in your closet. there are tons and tons of stores you can shop in that have great clothes for cheap. the only hard part is coming up with ways to wear them. being fashionable is a metal game really.

It doesn't matter if you shop at Walmart or American Eagle. It's the way you put things together. Just follow your own style, and I'm sure you'll look great.
