a browser.. kinda like internet explorer, except most people agree it is better, as it has themes and extentions. you can also open multiple sites within one window.

I would have to say that Firefox is a much more supior web browser than IE. There is also numerous (thousands) addons which allow you to make it do almost anything that you want it to do. I would have to say that you should give it a try. I once always used IE but now I would rather use Firefox. Also if you have a flash drive portableapps.com has made it so that you can take Firefox on the road with you and not loose any of your addons, extensions, setting or bookmarks... etc. I really think you should give it a try for a few months and see how you like it. Fire-fox is an Internet Browser. I use it, personally way better than Microsofts Internet Explorer. Get it and give it a go. It seems slow at first but it is so user friendly.It has a built in ad-blocker and is really safe to use. It has some nice themes too, search for the 'Noia 2.0' if you get it, great theme, one I use.

Firefox (all one word) is an alternative to Internet Explorer that I personally love enough to marry - if it was possible.
It's more secure, faster, blocks pop-ups, won't let sites install programs without you saying it's ok, it's up to date, free, no spyware, and it's ability to be customized in any way you can imagine is the main reason I personally use it.
Free add-ons can block all image ads - banner ads, flash ads, iframe ads, you name it. You can control your music player through Firefox (Foxytunes), you can get the local weather forcast! You can customize how Firefox looks, how it shows pages... anything!
Firefox puts the power back in your hands.

its an aternative internet browser, to internet explorer, but alot safer , because it doesn't use active x controls ,but you will still need internet explorer to do windows updates
