does people actually talk to there boyfriend and girlfriends' parents that way and not get kicked out of there home

I hope not but anything is possible. Actually my roommate got an email from them asking her and her boyfriend to be on the show because they were desperate for people to be on it. She declined the email.

I'm sure producers give them some sort of angel or side that they want the person to play and go from there. Whenever I watch it, it always seems so staged and acted out.

Typically kids and teens who talk bad to their parents and are allowed to remain in the home are only allowed to do so because of their parents lack of control in the household. Other times it's guilt, fear and low-self esteem on the part of the parents.

Reality TV finds the worst of the worst typically. They have casting people that go out and search for these sorts of folks. On the other hand some reality tv shows search for the best, search for contrasts that will make the show more interesting. /shrugs/ It just depends on the show.

and my personal opinion is that people will do anything to be on t.v. so chances are pretty good that the producers give them an "idea" of what the shows point is and they ever so graciously follow orders/role play to suit.
