If a commercial organisation is going to stage an event to market themselves, researching music is really important. As music is such a popular market it can be very worthwhile for a brand to be associated with certain artists but you would want to research te band's target audience to know which ones each brand would want to be associated with. It is also good for sponsorship opportunities - again, you would want to research particular genres and artist's reputations.

I can't remember where I read this,but I think it was Psycholgy Today.
The article said that many companies especially those that have workers sitting in front of a computer all day have done studies by using Easy Listening music to reduce stress in the workplace.
Less stress means more production and THAT means more coin in the boss's pocket.

Maybe they can find a song so catchy that customers will sing it to themselves while going onto a nonstop shopping frenzy.
If only they knew what puts their customers in the buying mood they could pipe that in. They could find a style that works well in Home Depot, another style for Victoria's secret, and one on a CD that you can bring with Chinese takeout to be sure you get lucky.
