Guys like Tajiri or the Great Muta have been using this "green mist" spray from the mouth for some time. How is this done? It seems weird because I've seen Muta do it several times in the same match with different colors coming out each time.

Well, its obvious that they dont keep the liquid in their mouth the whole entire time due to choking hazards. They usually have it concealed in their trunks, a sort of pill, that they pop in their mouth when the camera is not on them, then minutes later, when the pills protective layer is dissolved, they spray the mist.
Green Mist - Common Mist
Red Mist - Burning Mist
Black Mist - Blinding Mist (Tajiri used it on Nidia and blinded her for a long time)
Blue Mist - Sleeping Mist
Yellow Mist - Paralysis Mist

The mist comes from a capsule the they have in their mouth.
