i personally don't think religion should be involved in it. because we are a free country you have a right to follow any religion you wish or not any at all. if god created everybody then he also created gay people so you are technically going against the word of god.

Hell NO!!!!!! I see the signs everywhere for the upcoming election "Vote marriage.. one man, one woman". Being gay is not a choice. Loving another person is not a crime. I am a heterosexual, married woman and I don't feel that the definition of marriage has anything to do with sexual orientation. The definition of marriage is two people who commit thier lives to one another.

Seems so many are fighting to keep gays from getting married. Do any of these people think about what times used to be like, when girls married at 12 to much older men who their parents picked out for them? What if that practice had never changed?

Homosexuality is not a new found trend. Going back to practically the dawn of man there have been homosexuals. It's just that now they can actually live their lives out in the open, hopefully without as much prejudice. It all has to do with prejudice people who don't want times to change. How about we take back womens rights to vote and bring back segragation?

Get real!! It's going to happen sooner or later! Accept it and deal with it!!

I personally am against gay marriage and believe it should be outlawed. I'm basing most of my decision of religious beliefs that marriage is between one man and one woman. However, our government laws are based on separation of church and state. There are tax benefits and numerous other breaks from being married that is given out by our Government. These breaks help struggling families who are raising their children. Since a woman can not have a child without a man, I believe these breaks should only be given to male/female married couples. I really don't have a problem with people being gay, that is their right and their choice. If they want to "marry" to pledge their undying love to each other, that is also fine, but I don't think the benefits that accompany a male/female marriage should extend.

Yes, it should be outlawed. Look it is 100 % un natural thing. In all religions of the world, it is NOT ALLOWED, because its against nature. The basic puporse of a marraige is to continue, to grow the human genertaions. These people, gay related, are misleading and mis guiding the world. Is there any mention / example of 'gay issue' in any of the religious books?
On the other side, I guess all religions advise for male female marriage. The very first example is of Adam and Eve.

Male or female-outside appearance is the only thing that seperate this whole stupid issue of gay marriage etc. If everyone was blind, no body would really care. Every human has a heart and who they fall in love with is who they fall in love with. How wonderful is that. Lets get to issues that really matters such as the mess this world is in right now!!

Marriage in the US is a union between one man, and one woman. People are free to live most any way they wish, but only ONE relationship is marriage. Yeah, yeah, yeah- gay marriage is wonderful. Sooooo great. BUT, it isn't marriage. Neither is a relationship with a ten year old, a dog, a 92 buick, or a stalk of celery.

I love lesbians and have recently discovered that I am one myself, Im just trapped in a mans body.
I am against gay marriage. How can a guy be gay when women are so awesome, women smell good, are soft, and very fun. Well, what ever floats your boat I guess. They can do what ever they want to.

I personally do. It is an abomination to God, so if that don't bother you then once you get married why don't you let your spouse have affairs since sin don't bother you. I don't dislike the person, neither does God, but he dislike the behavior. In a society where laws were created by our christian forefathers, I don't think we should be going backwards in our commitment to God.

Marriage is meant only for a male & female. God didn't create Adam & Adam or Eve & Eve. Homosexuals may shack up, but marriage for them is very wrong, as well as civil unions. I know some wonderful homosexual females at my church; I treasure them as individuals, but I wouln't support them marrying.

I agree with you, many people will not. I believe love is love, and it knows no gender. I think that everyone needs to mind their own business, and stay out of everyone else's lives. I am sick of other people pushing their opinions upon others. Of course I am guilty of this at times too.
