Yeah, governments suck. That is their nature. I can't think of any government that isn't criminal.
Chinese?
Iranian?
French?
Russian?
Venezuelan?
All Crooks, so don't focus on the west, exclusively. At least western governments pay lip-service, if nothing else, to human rights.
