My question is, how easy or hard, would it be to lie on an application that I already have my degree and get away with it?
Do most employers really track down to see if you actually have an associates? Or do most employers treat it like a high school diploma and just not look into it?

That depends...

If you already have experience in the field for the job, then they may not look into it. Know friends that lied about having a Bachelors degree and got away with it because they already had the experience.

However, if your resume does not reflect that experience, then they will probably look into it to prove competence.

Don't do it. Especially if you're talking Associates. For any decent entry level job, they're gonna check it all. For a less than decent entry level job they won't care if you have it or not.

Don't start a career this way. Suck it up, get it done and prove to yourself you can finish something you start.

Good Luck,

any degree you eran will impress a company...but if you lie and they find out that is grounds for termination. as a former HR person, i did check references, and ask for copies of documentations for their employee files. do not lie...it will only come back and bite you in the butt later.
