any old classic rock song with 3 chords...a lot of CCR, Beatles, etc are very easy to learn, but the easiest songs to learn will be songs you really enjoy because you will want to learn them more then a song you dislike...cheers

Try Working class hero by John Lennon its only three chords (Am, D, G,) and can be played with a simple rythm but you can add to it a lot the more comfortable you become, its easy to do difficult to master and should improve on basic strumming.

smoke on the water and house of the rising sun, I was taught those first and could play them in a day and was good at them inside a week, with practise. Good Luck.

The intro to Smoke On the Water is the easiest part of the song,and House Of Rising Sun is mostley just easy chords,but nobody really knows it unless they play guitar,so you can impress easily by playing it.
