That's the same question I've been wanting to ask. There are just too many morons trying to get points and pseudointellectuals who like to pretend they know what they are talking about.
I really pity some of the people who ask serious computer questions and get so many wrong answers.
"How do I clear out this virus?" "Run Disk Defragmenter"

I notice that some people give to little info about there problem to be solved. The question is generic, causing many different answers.
Ohh, and the 2 points.
Research my source for the correct answer.

Thats like me wanting to say, "Why dont half of those that ask questions, ask questions that we understand and not have to do dectective work, translate gibberish or 2nd guess what your trying to ask".
In other words if you dont know the answer and you ask and we give you the answer then at least try what we are asking you to do, otherwise YOU do the google search yourself.

I am part of the other half - I do not answer a question unless I am sure of my facts . However, everyone has their own opinions and some answers are subjective - so you may not agree with what they are saying. This does not necessarily mean that they are wrong and you are right, or vice versa.

2 points. Also this forum is about opinions. Someone's opinion is what they possess as knowledge and they share that. If you find that insufficient in 50% of the cases, you are either very smart or very stupid.

What do you deem a pointless answer then - you need to quantify your statement.
How do you know that someone does not know what they are talking about? You could be wrong ... you never know because sometimes people do get things wrong you know.
People sometimes just answera question with platitudes to show that they are interested.
