The car will not pass an emmissions test in GA with the light on. The car runs fine but the light remains on. Its a 2001.

either find the reset button - or have your local maintenance man do it for you. you may also want to have the code on it checked - there is normally a reason they come on. For the record - I had an Intrepid - had being the important word - it was a piece of junk!

Take it to the shop... It may be the reason that something is wrong with the car...that's why you can't pass the emmission test.

sure, take your car in and have the engine checked...if nothing's wrong the mechanic will turn the light off for you and charge you about $20 or $30 for checking...if something is wrong, don't you think it would be good to know?

Start by checking the code. It is done by counting the flashes and decoding them. Your parts store might be able to help.
This is the kind of reason I love my 1971 Dodge Dart. No emissions hassles.

If you have an Autozone nearby, they will check the codes for you and reset the light for free. At least they do around here. I think Advance Auto will do it also.

Having it chacked at a local car place is best, they'll tell you what's wrong with the car!

take some black electrical tape and place it over the engine light check that's on your dash, this will stop you from seeing that it's on.
