being english and having never been to the US i'll have to say the uk. unfortunately we seem to becoming more and more american every day. no offense to americans but id prefer to keep my own culture, not have it diluted by americanisms and mcdonalds on every corner.

In the past I would have said UK no question because I love everything traditional. I liked England how it was a in Victorian and Elizabethan times but now its all about council estates and poor people with a bit of money who don't now how to spend it- I think they are called celebrities.
I give credit to America for brushing their teeth properly and having good taste in the way they decorate their houses (The British don't have taste anymore, the Americans have classy tastes) I know some tend to be brassy but even the rappers have good taste, you should see the English football players cribs on MTV, all white rooms- I could have cheap white rooms! ( Can'y you tell I am going to be an interior decorator)
Having said that how could one not love the country where Jane Austen wrote Pride and Prejudice? That would not happen in America. England being the older country is steeped in history.

What a dumb question, obviously all the people from the UK are going to say, UK, and all the people from the USA, are going to say, USA.
Every country has it's good and bad points, but most people will vote for their own country as it's familiar.

I like the peoples attitude in the USA, But I would love to live in the UK. People are very cynical there though.

Better in what?
I was gonna write a few advantages each country has over the other but sorry yanks, I could only think of advantages for the UK. Love both countries though and wouldn't want to be without either one.

In regards to what?
I'd say lower level schools are better in the UK but that the US is more business friendly - it's much easier for someone to start up a business on their own in the US than it is in the UK.
With so many variables, is it even possible to compare?
