Hi everyone, I am sitting here and still wondering what went wrong with why we didn't conceive and wondering if someone could shed some light. My story is this: We had a baby last December, and after I took the mini pill for 8 mths, then switched to Yasmine for only 1 mth. I stopped the pill 9/21 and got my cycle 9/24. I ovulated 10/7 and husband and i had unprotected sex that whole wknd, but didn't conceive! I am going crazy trying to figure out why, and its really haunting me! I have 3 children and have always gotten pregnant when I wanted to, right away. When we conceived our last baby I was on lo/ovral pill for only 1 mth and got preggo the very next month! So, whats different now? Does being on the pill for 9 mths have anything to do with it? If so, why? Because I know for 100% fact I ovulated, so how could it have been the pill? Does the pill affect the lining of the uterous? My doc even said you can conceive as soon as u stop the pill. So what happened? I can't seem to move on.

Ok, chill out. Sometimes the conditions are not ideal for conception to occur. You seem very aware of your reproductive pattern and that is a good thing. However, our bodies are constantly changing and as we get older, trying to conceive may become a little more difficult. Don't lose heart, just keep trying and if you are unsuccessful, you may want to monitor your cycle a little more closely. For ex: start taking your temperature every morning (temp shifts can indicate times of ovulation) check your cervical fluid during the time of ovulation (most fertile is eggwhite consistency but not all women produce the same amt). You could also buy one of those tests to see when you are ovulating. I'm not sure if this pill is affecting your chances of getting pregnant. You're very lucky to have 3 children, and if you do not have another, maybe it wasn't meant to happen. Good Luck, don't lose heart..

Most female will not ovulate 2 out of the 12 months in a year. This could have been one of your 2 none ovulating months.

I wouldn't worry about it because the more you worry the less likely you will get pregnant. Stress is bad for conception.

How do you know for 100% that you ovulated? Even with charting and cramping you might not have released and egg.

Nothing BAD happened. Take a deep breath. Sometime you can't control everything. You sound fertile and so does your partner. Even if all the right conditions are there and even if there is an egg present it doesn't mean 100% you will get pregnant.

Being on the pill could very well be a reason for why you didn't get pregnant this month. But I am betting that next month could be it for you! If you were on the pill for only 9 months I can not see it affecting you for more than at best one month.

Good luck!!!!! from one TTC to another!

The only way to get over this month is to realize there is this new month starting and that you have to get ready for this next ovulation!!!
