Going to Barcelona on Tuesday. Would like to visit some traditional but reasonably priced restaurants. Staying in the centre and want to reach restaurants on foot.

Simply wander down The Ramblas, and choose a restaurant that you think is suitable.

The Ramblas is the main eating area, and you will find restaurants to cater for any taste and wallet, but I would recommend a Tapas bar about half-way down on the right hand side (just past an Australian pub).

Enjoy yourself (and watch out for pickpockets).

No but I do know that they have a toilet roll factory there and a hot water bottle factory. Both of which I would much prefer to be shown around on a date rather than going to a boring old restaurant. End the date with a climb up the hill to see the fantastic fountain that changes colour to the music. Great!

El Pescadors is a fantastic seafood restaurant although not so close to the centre. Cal Isidre is a great catalan restaurant although it is a little more expensive but they are very helpful.
