Caffeine is so controlling, because the world is at such fast pace Thar are bodies can't keep up. Everyone is in such a rush, just slow down everything will get better and easier. Here's a question to think about, why are we in such a rush, were are we going, and why do we have to get their in such a hurry? Do we even know?!

Starbucks.
Starbucks not only made coffee joints common, but it is designed to allow Wall Street-type yuppies to indulge in the fantasy that they are beatnik or really individual people, the kind of "cool people" you see in non-franchised coffee shops.
Since you have all the powerful Wall Street guys and other professionals going to Starbucks for their jolt of caffeine, then they go do their powerful jobs, caffienne is indirectly controlling the world.
