Halloween to me is just a fun time. Kids (and adults) get out in funny costumes. People passing out candy and others receiving candy. There is no spiritual meaning , in my book.

No, I don't think it is evil, and yes a lot of people have fun with it, and it is true that it has no spiritual meaning for me. I'm just not much into it, but it's fun to watch others have fun.

As a Pagan, it's both fun and spiritual for me. I love the trick or treating thing and decorating my house, and that's just fun, plus there's also leftover candy.
As far as the spiritual side, Halloween is both the Pagan New Year, and the time for giving love and honor to the beloved dead, our ancestors and relatives, friends, honored ones, and animal friends who have passed and who watch over us with love from the next life. We have a feast and set a place for the ancestors, fill it with all the foods of the feast. Specially honored foods are apples, dark breads, pomegranites, pumpkins, and honey.
Contrary to popular belief, Halloween has nothing to do with satan. There are just lots of hysterical people around who like to have things to be afraid of.

To me it's just fun. I know it has evil undertones, but how many parents send their kids out on Halloween thinking "I hope they don't become satanic because I dressed them up like a pirate." I loved Halloween (and still do), and I think all kids should be able to enjoy it. I would have enjoyed it more if I could have breathed in those masks.....lol.

The only thing I celebrate in Halloween is the candy. I don't do the whole trick-or-treat thing. No dress up or anything.

It's fun. It's for kids. Now, anyway. The original festival, back in the woods in about 1200, wasn't so innocent, but they have pretty much quit sacrificing babies on that day lately.
