im doin a thing for school...i had to find a love song and then explain if it is a pastoral poem or not? i chose "dance inside" by the all american rejects...but now i hafta write a 1 page report on it! help! i dont even know wat a pastoral poem is!

The Pastoral poem imitates and celebrates the virtues of rural life. Basically, this is a poem about nature. The focus and force of the Pastoral poem has changed many times over the years. In its beginning, it evoked much reverence for and awe of nature. But the contemporary Pastoral contains somewhat of a pessimistic tone. In the contemporary forms, the wonder of nature is noted, but the harshness of it is spoken about as well. Whatever the underlying tone, a well-written Pastoral should induce some emotion within the reader regarding the world we live in.
By the way, nice choice of group. "Swing, Swing, Swing" is my favorite by them.

excatly what the person above me said! but very good choice for a song. dance inside is about kim smith, tyson ritters gitlfriend. very good song
