Does anyone know how to get rid of stubborn verucas? I have had two for over 2 years and have tried bazooka?

Your GP may well offer Cryotherapy treatment - where the verrucas are frozen off. You attend for a series of treatments and pare the verrucas down in between visits to GP. However, there is little evidence to confirm if this is any more beneficial than over the counter remedies. Worth a try if you've exhausted all avenues though. Good luck

Doctors are very chary about removing verrucas these days and prefer not to intervene, saying they will disappear in their own good time.
There is a old wife's tale that if someone "buys" them for a penny each, they will disappear. I can't answer for that one but
I have several doctors in the family who have had to accept the evidence of another traditional remedy, which consists of rubbing each verruca 50 times with a sliced clove of garlic every evening before going to bed. Apparently it does work and the verruca shrinks and goes within a few weeks. No harm in trying is there?

I had a stubborn one and went to Scholl's Seal and Heal gel. Stick it on leave for a couple of days and have a pick at it then start again. Worked here. (bazooka's pants by the way, I tried that, my pharmacist reccommended Seal and Heal.) Oh, and always wash hands after touching it.
