I had a dream last night that my father gave me as a gift a large box of huge cigars. The cigars were each probably 2 feet long. At first I didn't know what I would do with them, but after unwrapping one I realized they were made of chocolate.

I had another dream a few days ago that someone offered me some great steak to eat.

By the way, in case someone wants to interpret this sexually as Freud might have done, I'm heterosexual (lol!).

Cigar = male figure, dignity
Chocolate Cigars = deceptions
great steak = desire
Being offered = acceptance.

Notice both dreams you are offered something to eat. In your life, you are looking for acceptance. At your first dream, being offered as gift from your father could have something to do with the relationship with your father. I do not know how close you and your father are; but that could mean you are seeking for support from your father. However, you somehow have some trust issue from your father. Perhaps your father is a smoker, you projected a box of cigars from could mean you are expecting something like a male figure should have. A cigar could mean dignity. You do not know what to do with it because you don'
t expect that should be a gift from your father. Subconsciously you are afraid to smoke or even pretend to smoke it like your father. Nonetheless, you feel deceived because you are getting chocolate instead.

As far as great steak goes, it symbolizes desire you want to get. Both result of the dreams are food to eat. That shows your desire in food. You may be into food very much. If so, that also reflect your personalities about things you like - food.

In conclusion, you want to be accepted as the way you want to be. You don't want to follow what others are doing. You are looking for acceptance and at the same time, you want to be yourself.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Freud would take it as being quite sexual. He also finds meat in a dream very sexual. Heterosexual or homosexual it would be Freudianly interpreted as just plain sexual.

maybe your dream is telling you that you are ready to take on a big responsibility or challenge. the chocolate part may mean that the responsibility\challenge is not going to be as hard as you originally thought. the steak would also be considered a challenge. or maybe you subconsciously feel you are ready to take on a great task.

This may sound really simple, but are you going to bed hungry? I have absolutely had dreams about food and woken up hungry.
