Unless your parents are considering a move to Utah, I don't think you're gonna have any luck convincing them, you'd probably just cause a lot of tension in your house.

I don't know how old you are and I really don't want to spoil the enjoyment of your feelings, but it is a fact that loving someone when you are so young can change from one week to the next (okay, maybe month to month). Maybe your love won't change, but the odds are that it will.

So, for now, the best way to handle it is to stay in touch with this person in Utah (I hope he deserves to be loved so much by someone!). Write to him...send actual letters in the mail, they are so much more personal. If things stay the same between you, then when you're old enough, you can go there on your own (when I say old enough, I mean at least eighteen).

I'm telling you, though...from a lot of experience...that you've got more loves in your future.

Good luck!

Parents move for employment reasons usually, I have never heard of them moving so a child could be around someone they love. When you are grown up enough to get your own apartment and feed yourself ( get a job) then you can move to Utah yourself. But asking your parents to move for you would really make you appear as a total baby, and I don't think you want that image if you are in love.

Three words: Long Distance Relationship. It works! Also, if you move somewhere for someone you like now, you'll regret it later. Moving means long-term commitment, which just isn't a good idea for someone your age.

You don't need to move out there, especially if you're under 18 and your parents don't allow it. Maintain a long distance relationship.
