Yes...it will cause no problem at all. In fact you could heat some water and add to the machine for a
hot or warm wash.

If you have shut the water off to the hot water heater ONLY and not to the whole house, probably. See if cold water works.

Yes, just make sure the water temp. is set to cold water only. I've had to do this before. Works just fine and clothes still come out clean.

You should be able to. On the cold water setting there should be no draw from the hot water heater.

Wether the water heater isn't working or the water temp changing part of the washer isn't working, you can use cold water to do the laundry. I use it all the time. But I also use Cold Water formula TIDE deteregent.

Yes but ur clothes will not be clean they will still be dirty thats the whole point of a hot wash. Hot water breaks down the dirt - I think you should take them to the lundrette

YES, THE WASHING MACHINE SET ON COLD WILL NOT AFFECT WHETHER IT FUNCTIONS OR NOT. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO A HOT WASH IF THE HOT WATER HEATER IS TURNED OFF. HAPPY WASHING..... :-)

You can wash clothes in cold water. Hot water only costs more.
