x = old hourly wage
2x - 3.80 = 10.50
2x = 14.30
x = 7.15
check in words of problem
is $10.50 $3.80 less than twice $7.15
twice 7.15 = 14.30 - 3.80 = 10.50 so yes

10.50=2x-3.80

x=7.15

$7.15 was her hourly wage

the answer is $6.70 its so easy subtraxct the bigger number with the smaller number
