my comp has been showing popups like crazy
so i went to the webroot spy sweeper program and it found a trojan and a bunch of other adware
i got it all off so it says does anyone know if it is really off of my comp.

You should use a good antivirus program and also a firewall. Here you have a list with some good programs:

Reveiws on the web show that no single spyware remover ( like no single virus remover ) allways works all the time.
Go to majorGeeks.com or download.com etc. to get
both FREE software programs, SPYBOT search and destroy,
and AD AWARE.
Between the two, after installing and updating to the latest look up tables, and running, it would a good bet that you are ok...

My father runs a small computer repair buisness as a hobby on th eside of his firefighting carrer and our favorite virus programs are Avast antivirus and Ad Aware-SE. Both are free. My links below should take you to Avst's site and you can get Ad Aware-SE from dowlnoad.com.

Mcafee.com Has a free virus scan. Go there and scan your computer. I use Mcafee, it really works. After you scan it you may want to get a virus scan downloaded on your computer. Also get antispyware and spamkiller. Mcafee will notify you if you have a virus on your computer. And it will be cleaned automatically.

if the pop ups stop well then you know it is gone
