I would hope that you do. Love doesn't die that easily. I still love my first girlfriend and that was 30 years ago. I love my wife too but much more. You learn with each relationship you have, use that knowledge to enhance your current relationship. God, I hope love never dies. However, since i think you would be thinking this, no I would never go back to her even if my wife passed away.

It sounds like your hubby needs to get over his insecurity you're obviously married to him for a reason. It is quite possible to have a special place in your heart for your old boyfriend, was he your first love? I had the same boyfriend all through high school all of my first experiences were with him, I think of him everyday, not a sense that i want to get back with him, but just because i will always think of him and wonder how his life is now etc. he will always be in my heart and nobody can ever change that. I am also married, and love my hubby more than anything. That's just my experience though, you might have a different one. but Just because you're married dosen't mean you have to forget your past relationships, it was all still a part of your life. Good luck :)

It's impossible to have true feelings for someone you haven't seen or dated in 30 years. You may have feelings for the "idea" of that person, but it's not real. I'd have to wonder why your husband feels jealous of this guy from 30 years ago?

Do you talk about him too much? Are you obsessed with something that wasn't meant to be anyway?

If you aren't sure if you do, you do. Be honest with yourself.

Plus remember, if you contacted an old flame (which means you've been feeding and fanning a flame for 30 years, right?), guess what would be on this guy's mind if you met him? There is no such thing as "just coffee" to a guy.
