I mean besides the fact that stalactites are on the celing and stalagmites are formed from the ground up. I have a ton of similarities, but almost no differences.
PLEASE HELP!

Stalactites are generally long and thin, whereas stalagmites are broader and shorter. Also, tites come to a sharp point, while mites are always almost flat right at the end.

There are barely any differences. The stalactites get created by molecules that remain stuck to the stalactite while the water drips. The stalagmite gets created by the remainder of minerals after the water splashes away or evaporates. Over time they will grow together until they are a column.

STALAGITES COME DOWN FROM THE CAVE ROOF , STALAGMITES GO UP RROM THE CAVE FLOOR, OHERWISE NO DIFFERENCE
