BTW, saying "ax" for "ask" doesn't indicate that someone didn't go to college, but that they were raised by people who may not have spoken English properly, and never corrected certain grammatical and phonetic habits.

I don't think so because she still uses the word, "ax" for "ask".
I heard her use it everytime she spoke to someone.
