I think it's happening in all the Walmarts. I guess they figure if Target can do it Wal-Mart can to. So if your going to use it better do it now because it's gone at the end of the year. Maybe layaway is not as popular as we thought.

yes in the great state of ohio they are getting rid of layaways after xmas , they said it doesnt do much business anymore because to many people use credit cards or debit cards

Yep...supposedly at the first of 2007.
It's prolly cause of the millions of dollars in lawsuits
that they're having to pay for cheating almost all of
their employees.
