When I was pregnant with my daughter, I felt her move at around 16 weeks. Now, I know the difference between gas a fetal movement but I'm only 8 weeks and can feel what I believe is fetal movement. I'm already showing also and I'm only 8 weeks. What do you think? When was the first time you felt your baby move?

Hi! I'm almost 16weeks and have been feeling little movements for about 2 weeks now. Don't be discouraged by people telling you WHEN is too soon to feel ur baby bouncing around in there. EVERY1 is different and if you know the difference from gas and a baby maybe it is baby bumping into the sides of the uterus!

Are you a bigger girl? They tend to show earlier, or maybe it is gas and bloating. Don't see how it could be the fetus, since it's VERY small right now and not taking up ANY room in there yet. I was also 16wks when I first felt movement, and it was a distinct kick, not the "butterfly" feeling others talk about. He's strong and always moving now....29wks!!! Congrats and Good Luck. You'll feel it sooner than you think!

I felt my baby move at 16 weeks also but I am now pregnant with my 4th and I felt it earlier but I know that it was movements. I think that when you have had other children, you are more aware of the movements... Congratulations....

It's possible you could be feeling the baby move. You've been pregnant before and know what to feel for. As for already showing, women will tend to show earlier with consecutive pregnancies. Your muscles, ligaments, and tendons have already gone through the whole process of stretching out and know what to do...

I'm on my first pregnancy and am 14 weeks...I can swear that after my appointment last month(I was 11 weeks) that I felt the baby move. We had an ultrasound done on that appointment and the baby was very quite literally laying on my bladder. Later that evening while out to dinner, it felt like someone was lightly tapping fingers on my bladder. Definitely didn't feel like any kind of gas pain to me...

8 Weeks is too early to feel the baby move. This is strictly based on the size of the baby at this point. Your uterus is only the size of a baseball or slightly larger, regardless of how much you are showing. It is exciting to feel the baby kick, but you will have to wait another 5 or 6 weeks.

At 13-14 weeks, I felt the gentle tapping, at 16 weeks, it was stronger- not kicks. At 18 weeks, poking & turning, movement. I checked with my doctor at around 14 weeks, and he said if you are very sensitive with regards to your body, you do feel movement early.
