I have a small white rose bush. It blooms only occassionally and has very few leaves. I remember something from my childhood about putting pickle juice on roses. Is this true or am I crazy?

No it's not good for your rose. It has acetic acid in it and that could harm the root structure especially if you do it more than once.

I don't know about pickle juice. But plant banana peals at the root area of your roses. The potassium is good for them.

I wonder if you dissolved vitamins and watered them with them if it would help them.

I was in the house of a woman one day that had fabulous green house plants. She said her son was a medical detain person and she gave the plants outdated birth control pills.

So you never can tell what will work. I always use bone meal to make my plants bloom.
