Most likely your router has a bug in the firmware that is causing this to happen. Download and install the latest firmware for your router from the manufacturer's website.

Make sure to back up your current configuration first as updating the firmware will overwrite any custom settings on your router.

definite, this no situation. you will possibly desire to purchase one from Bestbuy for about $40. whether in case you do have problems with this router Comcast won't grant help for it. Comcast has a provider called Comcast living house Networking. What it is, is a technician will convey a comcast modem/router(gateway) and set it up for you. This provider is a one time fee of $a hundred and fifty, yet once you ever have issues then Comcast gets all of it appeared after out for you in a well timed way. in order that which you recognize router are no longer that sturdy.

often times this means that the router itself is overheating and may require you to mount an external fan over the air slots to keep it cool. the cpu fans for 12$ are fine, then u need a low voltage adapter from one of your old toys or something (to keep it quiet, it doesnt need the full 12v)...
slice the wires on your adapter, and your fan.. then put a small plastic tube about 1.2 times the thickness size of your wires.. over each of the two wires on the adapter before you work.

then you should twist the pos-pos and neg-neg together, and cover with a small amount of electrical tape. we do this by sandwiching the unbent twisted wires between a folded (NOT WRAPPED) small piece of black electrical tape.

then pull the tubing over the part with the black tape and plug the adapter in. you can use 4 small pieces of 2-way tape to mount the fan in place BLOWING OUTWARD (there should be a small arrow on the fan showing the direction of the airflow).. put the tape on each corner, do not block the airway.

enjoy! it should increase reliability. often times they are passively cooled and it is not enough in a slightly hot environment.
