I think they under estimated what they were getting in to, I think they thought that the euphoria that they witnessed from the Iraqis on liberation would last for the duration

Did bush and blair lie and continue to lie? Does a bear poop in the woods? The majority of the people know the truth, but to impeach bush would put cheney as pres and that would probably be much worse because he actually has more brain cells than the present leader and he likes to shoot guns!
Iraq like Vietnam? Yes in many ways.both political wars. And with both wars the wealthy have made even more money because of the wars. Covert Operations, POWER & OIL = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Which country will be invaded next? hmmmm Who has the oil? If we invaded Iraq for humanitarian reasons, then why not stop the genocide in Dufur? We failed in Vietnam...we will fail in Iraq! The only difference in the two wars is that " because of Olie North and that man made scandal Americans turned against our troops that fought in Vietnam. Soldiers returning home from nam were spit on by citizens in Oakland CA. thank God the soldiers fighting in Iraq have the support from the citizens.

I do not know whether they lied as such. I think the intelligence services gave misleading information. Does anyone really know what goes on in the corridors of power and who really makes the decisions and for what reason? I think the decision to go into Iraq was taken too quickly and could and should have been prevented.

The Pentagon is running things and congress doesn't give a Shiite as long as bush lives up to his deal with them.. Which was I wont veto any thing you guys want as long as I and the pentagon get the money for the war each time we ask for it. Anxious to see the 60 minute program tonight to see the latest Grand larceny and just what crooks did it.

Hey!, come on, would they ever lie to us ?

If I answered this question I would be arrested.

Sometimes the truth of the matter is slightly bent, in order to fit in with the situation in hand.

It is time for the whole truth to be told, then at least we would know where we stand, and we could vote accordingly.

Name one politician who has never lied? Of course Bush & Blair lied, who else didn't. Politicians never have been honest from day 1 from any country. You got to remember they aren't the only ones.
