I hear that the man who played Rocky Horror didn't sing in that movie, and that someone else sung his part

Peter Hinwood was a professional model when he was chosen the blond muscle hunk Rocky Horror (a Creation) for the movie.
He had little or no acting experience and does not even sing his own songs in the film. After The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), he shied away from any publicity on the film and has since retired from show business. The story is that he is now a successful antique dealer.

Do you really mean Rocky (the blonde hunk that Dr. Frank N. Furter created and chained to his bed?), or are you speaking of Frank N. Furter, played by Tim (gasp) Curry? Sure sounds like Curry's voice doing his part.

Peter Hinwood played Rocky Horror. In the theatrical version he is singing. When the film was released to video and upgraded to stereo Trevor White was hired to dub the song vocals for Rocky in some songs. The newer DVD versions have all the song vocals recorded by Trevor White.

Thanks! Happy Halloween to you to! First of all, I don't like the Rocky Horror Picture Show either. I think a lot of people don't like it because it's either too weird for their taste or they don't like musicals. I think it is just rather annoying. The Time Warp song is kind of cute but I'm so sick of it now. I think it's just too freaky with the transvestites and all. I also am not a huge fan of musicals. I don't even like Grease! And I absolutely hated Moulin Rouge! I've seen the RHPS so many times now but I still can't get into it. A lot of people I know have gone to live screenings before where the audience gets into it but that's just too weird for me. I also think maybe a lot of guys might not like it because they think people will think they are gay if they do since it's very pro-homosexuality. Also some people just find it stupid like my mom. Anyways! I do like horror movies though!

Rocky did not sing his own song in the film, and for several years after he had not heard it.

Wrong. I don't recall his name, but he is a talented actor who can also sing and dance. The voice is his and a unique sound at that.

I don't see how that's possible. Tim Curry was Dr. Frankenfurter and he is multi-talented. He can sing just fine.

No, the old creepy bald guy directed, played, and sang almost all of the songs and scores.
