They do best in a bright area but not direct sunlight. Most people overwater them. Only water when the top inch of soil is dry. And you can fert. with a liquid fert like MiracleGrow about once a month.

If you do intend to eventually plant them outside make sure to harden them off before planting--especially for sun and wind.
