I think people who say "oh but its just her culture " are being very naive.

Its a blatant two-finger salute to the West. A blatant rejection and denial of all that is Western.

I was not surprised to read that this veil teacher has linked to the mosque used by the 7/7 murderers. They are all in together as far as I can see.

I'm just glad British people are standing up to these nutters and saying "I've had enough".

I think the veil looks horrible - like a robber or a thief. In the West we value face to face communication and covering the face is seen as being untrustworthy and hostile. I would never want to be treated by a veiled doctor or let my child be taught by a veiled teacher. Headscarves, etc are fine but those veils make me shudder.

Most of the Muslim woman I have worked with just wore a nice light colourful Salwar Kameez, with a cardigan if it was cold, and a headscarf or Hijab, whatever its called. They did not cover their faces. They looked so much more approachable and less intimidating, and they were still covering up their bodies in accordance with what their religion says.

This woman is just trying to stir up trouble. And present the UK taxpayer with a £250,000 legal aid bill. I'm sure that crooked mosque could raise the money for her.

Religion or division - doesn't matter, but it's going to cause BIG trouble if it's not all snuffed out quickly. The only difference this time is that the people who always think they're the ones in the right all the time are the ones who are going to come unstuck - we're all getting a bit too pissed of with it all, and a veil won't help things any more.

The veil: covering the face and the Hejab : covering the hair only .different interpretations in Islam favor each and some interpretations favor none of them but the most widely accepted is wearing the Hejab. This is a religious requirement .It used to be considered not a basic requirement by many moderate Muslims until recently when Zionist and western pressures on Islamic countries intensified then as a sign of challenge it became More popular.

Its not a statement as I understand it. It is self imposed/family imposed clothing from some weird ancient way of some belonging to a religious sect to keep and maintain that in some way for some reason their women cannot cope with their natural sexual attractiveness to the opposite sex. In European countries it is done to produce division as there is freedom of religion. If the perpetrators of this feel they will gain political advantage by having riots they will precipitate them by whatever reason or excuse. The argument will not cause riots the political agitators may.

that's a puzzling one via fact of course all people ought to be unfastened to placed on what they like yet donning something that thoroughly covers the face skill people can't be pointed out and others locate it complicated to talk with a splash bit black fabric. As a custom, facial expressions are a significant component of verbal substitute. hence I honestly have no longer something against a veil which covers the top or hides hair - we've quite some nuns and top type women folk who placed on that, to no longer point out some Christian sects (Plymouth Brethren for occasion) yet something that covers the face ought to be discouraged. i know some deaf people who lip study. there is not any way they might talk with somebody whose face grew to become into thoroughly coated.

I really do not care about women who were a veil, or walk around half naked showing their tummy or half their breasts. What I really care about that this country will see the worst civil violence ever. The stupid media specially some known racist newspapers like the sun, mirror and the daily mail...are spreading hate and adding oil on the fire and we all will loose, those wearing veil and those who wearing nothing!
You have to ask yourself why are you asking this question. Is it because you hate Muslims and just want any law that upset them and limit their freedom of expression or because you really want to liberate Muslim women -who really never asked you to do so!!
If Taliban was criticised for limiting women freedom and obliging them to wear the veil, so what is the difference between Taliban and those in UK who wants women to take off the veil!

FREEDOM of expression..is this what you-civilised society- is asking and living for as you claim. please hand off Muslims. Since 9/11 all of them have been labelled terrorists. All Muslims including highly educated, hard worker who pay taxes and respect the law of this country are treated very badly at airports, security checks....ASK YOURSELF: WHY DID YOU ASK THIS QUESTION?

To CM...Fiona Bruce is one of our newsreaders and was made to take her crucifix off, likewise a lady on an airline. We generally have tolerance here but feel our culture and religion is under attack sometimes. Get all your facts before preaching to us.
