No. A dead person soul is a ghost, not a disembodied soul. Ghosts represent the things left undone by a deceased being. Plus ghosts go BOO! What disembodied soul does that?

I think that ghosts are an imprint of a point in time more then a soul. Its like living the same moment of your life over and over again. Like a magnetic energy keeping that moment alive. If a violent crime like murder was committed it might leave an imprint from all of the emotional energy that was left behind, like a stamp. Some people can see it and some ppl cant, i dont know why but that seems to be the way it is. I also think that there may be souls on earth, and also non-human entities that are responsible for like "haunted houses" and all that kind of stuff, but most of it is just imprints of time.

yes. A ghost would normally stick around with a certain person, place or thing for a reason. I doubt you would see a ghost near grass because it is green. I have seen one. I was walking in a field and I took a picture because it was so beautiful. I develop the picture and there was a ghost shape in the top left corner that was all white and there was also a kid. There was no one else in that field.
