Just go to your insurance company... if they don't offer bonding, they'll be able to direct you to an insurance company that does it. It's a very good business, and most contractors are insured and bonded... shop around, the rates can vary.

Start with your insurance agent. They can usually write bonds. Depends upon type. If its a small amount, you can put the cash up with the state authority. If it's larger than you can afford, you will need to pay a premium to a bond company. Depends upon what type is needed. Sometimes if you can show you have enough personal assets, (house, savings, etc.), you can be bonded just upon your own accord. Your question doesn't quite give enough info. Also check with the association in your field. Like state contractors association, depending upon your job. Good luck!
