Reciprocal basically means flip-flop the numerator and denominator ... so the reciprocal of 1/4 would be 4/1 (or 4).

The definition of a reciprocal is a number that you would multiply to get a product of 1.
You have to watch out using the reasoning of "flipping" the fraction, because if you had a mixed number, for example 2 3/4, you would not just flip the fraction and get 2 4/3. You would have to convert to an improper fraction and then "flip it."
So... 1/4 times what equals 1?
= 4
