Why do I look like I am 5 months pregnant?

I am only 9 wks. this is my third child. People think I must be carrying twins, but I am not. Why am I so big already?

Dont worry about that. WHen I was pregnant with my third child people were always asking me if I was pregnant with twins. Always offended me. Now Im pregnant with my 4th baby and Im 17 weeks pregnant, and I look about 6 months. Im not a heavy person. Im very tall and average. It just shows alot sooner if you've already had a baby before. Your stomach muscles are already stretched. Dont worry about what others say.

Same thing is happening with me. I've already had a baby and with my daughter I didn't start showing until about 7 months and I'm now 8 weeks pregnant and I'm also showing. Not sure if it's twins though. Will find out on Halloween but I doubt it! But you never know! I guess like they say, every pregnancy is different.

I am almost 13 weeks pregnant with my third child, and I feel the same way, "Why am I showing so early?"
I asked my doctor and I have previously had 2 c-sections, so my stomach muscles aren't what they used to be :-) This could be your problem, like mine. How much weight have you gained as well? I am not able to fit into my "normal" clothes anymore and have gained almost 10 pounds in the last 13 weeks.

Maybe it's because you have had other children... Don't feel bad I am carrying my 4th child and people say the same thing too me, the only difference is I am 35 weeks. (8mth's) and people asks me if I am carrying twins or triplets.

I feel like it's such an insult.. People are so mean and I am tired of the smart remarks. I feel like this, if you do not have anything nice too say keep your mouth shut....

Don't worry ignore them and enjoy your pregnancy because they are worth it.... Good Luck!!! Congratulations by the way...

With each consecutive pregnancy, you will tend to show more quickly than the last due to the fact that your uterine and stomach muscles have already been stretched and know the drill. Therefore, when you get pregnant, they'll basically say, "Okay guys, here we go again!" and will pop on out.

The more children you have, the early you will start to show. Your uterus already knows what to do, so it starts to get bigger sooner than with women who are in their first pregnancy. Don't worry about what other people say or think, they probably just don't know much about pregnancy and what it does to a woman's body - especially after you have a few kids.

This is very normal.I am not sure about how far apart your kids are but it takes 2 years for your uterus to get back to normal,so if you have your children close that can happen.It happened to me too. After one kid its not the same as it was before children,along with the rest of our body.!!! Gotta love being a woman.

Are you overweight??? That could be it, because it can't be your uterus or baby so early, they're too small this early. Or maybe it's gas, or bloating, or constipation, water weight???? How do you know it's not twins though?? Maybe it is! Good Luck!

I am not sure about that one? Have you gained a lot of weight? That could be one reason. If not check with your ob/gyn that is a bit strange. i did not even start showing with both my babies until about three or four months. Well Congrats, and god bless!

The more children a women has. The sooner and the more she shows when she is pregnant.
