why do my people(black) hate haitians if were black too but a different background?

I'm just sayin that mostly in highschool and middle and almost everywhere that people are saying,"Get out of my way haitian *****!" And they are also sayin, "I hate haitians!" I mean thats just wrong! Were black too! they are talkin about their own people too! They also said lies about us that we eat cats! That is BULL----!!

Just for the record people,I let my sister post this NOT ME!!! I didnt post this my lil sister did,I believe her but thats something different,not all but some are like this,that is all I gotta say,BYE!!!

I just come across this conversation and would like to say one simple thing there is a big difference between hate and jealousy in my experience living in. United States I see is not only the African-American that have a problem with the Haitians the Jamaicans do the Mexican the African the Trinidadians I hope that's the way they call them after I see experience all of that I try to make a different to love because even the Haitians hate they own kind so it's human problem . Cause people that hate others don't live themselves so that's what block them to love others

So are all the of black people in America doing this or is it the people that's in the community that you live in? Are you being general and saying that the entire 39 million black people in this country hate Haitians? This is news to me since I live in a small Haitian community here.

Don't generalize. It's not our fault that you live in a community where people are acting like social misfits. Don't blame all of Black America for the action of a handful of idiots.

Bigotry seems like a peculiar form of madness. It has no logic, just a clinging to instincts that have been counterproductive for 10,000 years.

For instance, many white Americans openly hate the French and we're both white. It's accepted, embraced by the mainstream culture in a way no other form of prejudice is. Even Arabs don't get the kind of vitriol that French people have, especially in the past few years.

It is because out of every dark-skinned group, Haitians and Africans do the best. I think it's also because Haitians and Africans were able to get themselves out of slavery, while the African-Americans didn't get out of slavery until many years later and many people made sacrifices to help them.

Well I don't hate haitians, or africans, I will tell the person who said that whites treat him/her better that I have been treated very rudely by lots of africans that I have met and well they treated the white people in presense way better than they did me... so it doesn't only go one way...

There is a cultural difference between American blacks and blacks from the islands. Each group considers itself superior. People from the islands in general are less worried about slavery issues of past days. They seem to be, in general, more capable of fulfilling the American dream. Foreigners of any nationality are more goal oriented in that direction than americans.

I deeply understand your situation because you and me are victum of same stratification,dear i deeply understand your problem ,but what to do with this system?i am from india and belongs to scheduled caste,if search at google ,"caste system" is also the same type of stratification ,except your body colour,in india,we are of same colour,but our anscisters performs lower social duties of societies like shoe making &other services so still uppoer caster in india till now treat us backword they said you take birth in lower caste so you don't have rights like educatin,good standered of living etc.they said you cant marry girls with upper castes ,it is assumed that it spoiled their blood.i am sorry i am little sensitive about this issues but helpless .because it only ends with ,"THE END"of the apposit ones.i am sorry but frustrations creates such thing.BYE..,atleast i can become your friend if you want dear...
